Virtuosa Gold Reviewer's Comments
Virtuosa is a very good CD burning program. With its easy installation and its ability to produce an excellent CD copy, Virtuosa is a good choice for the intermediate user.
Virtuosa offers all of the features required to produce a high-quality CD. It also offers customization options that allow for both the selection of individual tracks on the original CD and for the fading of the tracks. These features allow you to create a professional-sounding quality copy containing only the songs you want. But Virtuosa lacks a few convenient features common in competitive CD-burning software packages. For example, Virtuosa does not allow the burning of any type of disc besides a CD-R. It also does not allow the erasing of a CD-RW and there is no RAW mode copying available. Also missing from this software package is the option to back up your personal data files.
Ease of Use:
Virtuosa earned a three-box ranking in the ease of use category due to its imminent difficulty for the novice consumer. With some prior experience with CD-burning software, this program is pretty easy to navigate. For the novice, some studying of the program will be required to complete the burning process.
Ease of Installation:
The installation and setup process offered by Virtuosa is excellent and received a four-box ranking. We encountered no difficulties and the process was error-free.
Quality of Copy:
The quality of the burned copy was excellent-no skipping of tracks or track distortion in the copy.
Help/Documentation:
The help documentation was very useful. Each topic is listed in the navigation area and offers direct access to the topic you need. With a bit more clarity of subjects, the help section would be much easier to use.
Summary:
Overall, this program is very good and offers several convenient features. Virtuosa has all of the necessary components to complete a high-quality CD.
